[puredyne] saffire pro 24 soundcard issues

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of using the above soundcard in puredyne?

I need to have it running by tomorrow and am unsure of what i'm doing.

freebob in jack turns the main light on the pro24 on but there's no sound?

pd 9.11 64b

Cheers,

Julian

Re: [puredyne] saffire pro 24 soundcard issues

So...

It's not freebob but the firewire driver in jack that makes the soundcard light up.

This is with the command
ffado-dbus-server
before starting jack.

THis means having installed the ffado dbus server too (of course:)

So I am now getting sound in and out of pure data but there are other issues.

I need to have the input sound not coming out of the outputs.  This means some software routing (I guess).

There does seem to be an interface for the saffire but it doesn't seem to work for me.  There is a later version that seems to be recommended
https://launchpad.net/~autostatic/+archive/ffado/+packages

I'm going to ask a dumb question here but how do I get this package from launchpad?

MOre question but I have to dash - back in a couple of hours.
