[puredyne] change locale

hi

i am trying to know the right set of steps in order to change the locale
in puredyne system, is this correct?

edit /etc/default/locale and put there (for example)
LANG="eu_ES.UTF-8"

then
sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

and finally restart X server (any specific command to do this?)
